Inter-University Cooperation

Europe plays an important role in inter-university cooperation. French universities remain the traditional and preferred partners, with two-thirds of the agreements signed with these institutions. Cooperative relations are currently in place with the universities of Liege (Belgium), Porto (Portugal) and Julius-Maximilians Universiät Würzburg (Germany). We have a desire to expand our partnerships to include other European institutions of higher education.

There is currently limited cooperation with American and Asian Universities largely due to language factors. However, the signing in 2012 of a cooperation agreement with Jinan University (PRC), which led to the establishment of the Confucius Institute in Brazzaville, shows a positive shift that should help boost future cooperation with Asian universities.
